DescriptionA WONDERFUL AND VERY RARE DOG MOTIF TEA SET DATING TO THE MID 19TH CENTURY, C1860.  A SUPERB SET!This is just a superb and very rare antique tea set.  It is decorated on every piece with a fantastic and rare motif with 4 dogs.  The images are on BOTH sides of everything which really adds to the wonder of the set.  These are early transfer ware.  The pieces are further hand decorated with aqua detailing.  Truly one of the rarest of dog motif sets available!!!  We also have some dog motif blue willow pieces which we will be saleing so please visit our sales.  These pieces come from one of the finest dog collections in America.  The set dates to the mid 19th Century c1860.  It is in superb condition with only a minor hairline crack here and there.  There are no chips to the set.  The transfer images are all in superb condition.  The pieces are described below:Teapot - 5 3/4\" (14.5 cm) tall - wonderful images of the backs of the two dogs on the lid!Creamer - 2 1/2 \" (6.3 cm) tall.
