This bulb never reached the color advertised it would reach. No markings on packaging as to color temp of bulb. No markings found on the bulb upon installation. Had bulb shatter upon removal for inspection of markings per seller. Seller did not provide any further assistance beyond that. Even though I broke the bulb I still do not believe that the correct bulb was sent. Seller went dark through messages and has blocked me from their store. Big F for this seller.

A powerful, basic skimmer.
For it size and cost I wasn't expecting much. But, this is a very powerful skimmer.. I have it in fresh water to pull off the bio film and boy does it do it's job.. I have had it in place for 4 days and have had to replace the filtering material 3 times... I didn't know how much was there was.. Highly recommend this and for the value it works great and easy to use... I did add some extra floss between the filter pads to give it a boost.. For it size and cost I wasn't expecting much. But, this is a very powerful skimmer.. I have it in fresh water to pull off the bio film and boy does it do it's job.. Reluctant Recommendation
It was hard to get it adjusted, but seemed to work well. I'm only setting it up on days that I trim my planted tank to pick up any floating plant bits after the trim. It does move s decent amount of water though. Maybe too much. If you don't have the spray bar on really good, it will push it right off. I would suggest getting a drill bit the same size or just tiny bit bigger than the spray bar holes. Ream them out & open them up just a little bit & it will keep the spray bar from popping off. It won't mount on to a tank with a rim unless they send you the larger bracket. I received both large & small, but the large doesn't come in the box. Seller shipped it along with the skimmer though. I was pleased about that. Anything smaller than a 20 gallon tank will need a shim with the large ... It was hard to get it adjusted, but seemed to work well. Small surface skimmer
Works well. Cleaned surface protein off quickly. Only Problem I have had is a beta who likes to block the intake and gets sucked into the filter but is unharmed, just have to take him out once a week. I just wish they made a taller size for my 55 gal tank.

Better Than Expected!
I bought this to clean the surface of my tank after a strange substance began collecting on it. Within about a half an hour of putting this in the tank and turning it on, it has sucked most of the debris off the surface and it looks clear and normal again. I am using this in a 40 gallon long tank which is bigger than I believe these are made for. My only issue with it was that the brackets they give you to hang it didn't work with my tank or where I wanted to hang it, so I bought some double sided suction cups (NUOLUX 30mm Double Sided Suction Cups Sucker Pads for Glass Plastic) and they stick it to where I want it in my tank without too much trouble. Great little skimmer
I have purchased 3 of these so far. It doesn't matter the size of your tank. Use it to skim the surface of the water to rid any oils or any organic matter. These are great for the money. On larger tanks, you need to clean them more frequently due to the higher water volume. Try one and see.
