overall, its way worth the $, actually this is my 3rd one( 2 large, one regular), i have 2 cats, this for another house. i clean 'em 2 boxes twice per day coz it's really too easy to clean it, i even have fun with it. I've been hand-scooping the 'love bundle' for more than a decade, this innovation saves my life! some small defects: 1. one clip( the one close to the entrance) might stuck, both "large" show this problem. i manage to fix it using my garden tool to push it thoroughly. not a big fixing problem. 2. about lost extra sand in the dumper, just put less sand(max. 2-inch thick) in the box, that makes ALL the sand well stays in the small 'storage' while you tile it. too thick the sand may overflow the storage and leak into the dumper. 3. odor might be tramped in the box especially the regular size. that's why less sand is suggested coz you renew/refill the sand more often, and that helps to rid the reek. 4. its an assemble product instead of made as one, therefore besides the scattering sand of cat's steps, some tiny amount of sand might slip thru while you tile it, simply broom it altogether when you clean your cat mat. although it's not very good quality, consider the price and convenience, I recommend it, its a smart design of good value. First thing it was delivered in a large box that was easy to big for the contents without packing materials for adequate protection 2nd- the tape used to seal the package was so poorly wrapped on n the box that when. It arrived the box was open & not all parts were in the box. Maybe it was a previously returned package but still have indicated if parts are missing. 3rd - it has nothing that b could be possibly make it an "automatic" cleaner. I would NEVER recommend this product. I would like to be return it but the box is damaged.

So far, so good. However, my male cat has already left his review just outside the new box!! Don't know what that's about, so we'll see. I do question the quality of the plastic though. It doesn't seem to have a tight fit, but so far it works just like the directions say. So, don't know over time how long it will hold up. I do love the tray and the lack of everything being so soiled! That's worth a lot, even if just for a while!

When I purchased this, I was primarily interested in having a covered litter box to contain mess and keep my dogs out. I was skeptical about the "self-cleaning" feature and that was not really the most important feature to me. However, I have to say it works GREAT! I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to get the clumps out using the roll method and emptying the tray. I would just say two things: 1. The box itself is smaller, so if your cat is ginormous he or she may not find the space big enough and if you have multiple cats, you may need to empty frequently. (I do it daily or every other day anyway). 2. The wet clumps can stick to the bottom of the tray, so when I roll and have it upside down, I just lightly hit the bottom of the tray to break loose the clumps and it works great! :) You will love this litter box.Read full review
