Angelica the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Dog

Angelica was our darling and we miss her terribly! She was our first experience with a bully breed and we have been smitten with them ever since. They are the best. We dedicate this memorial to her and all her brothers and sisters in breed.

She was brought to our home as a pregnant teenager who needed to give birth and nurture her puppies. She was not doing well in the shelter because she loved being outdoors and free!!!!! Of course we could only give her the illusion of the second in our back yard but she flourished and 2 weeks later gave birth to 8 beautiful and healthy puppies.

She fed them in a most unusual way - shifts: 4 and then once they were full and dozing off she would reposition herself and feed the others. A most extraordinary lady and of course a wonderful mother.

Her stay was to have been temporary. Once the puppies were adopted out we returned her to the shelter and resumed our regular lives......but as weekends on display outside stores went by and she lay forlornly waiting for escape our hearts ached. We knew she was not the ideal match for our family as she was so young and energetic but we had fallen in love and she had too and we had to make it work.

So we fetched her and it seems spent the next 5 years walking in the neighborhood with her until we discovered the joys of our local dog park.

We believe she had a happy and full life. We are not sure how old she was at the end: she was ours from 2000 to 2009 and remains in our hearts forever.

We love and miss you Lala dolly. May you play-fight with your "brother" Barkley in doggy heaven forever!
