Callie the Mixed Breed (White) Cat

Callie is the second cat that I have ever had the pleasure of being in my family. She, from the beginning, was a constant purrer. She was such a loving little soul. She would sit in the bathroom waiting for me to get out of the shower so that I would pick her up. She would lay her head on my shoulder and snuggle in, clutching my arm almost like she was hugging. Oh, I miss her so much. At night she would jump on the bed and snuggle in my arms, purr and lick my neck. She was a princess. She would walk through the house with her tail in the air swagging back in forth like she was the queen. For which she was. In her last days, she enjoyed sitting on the back porch on her favorite chair, basking in the sun and getting fresh air.

Callie had squamous cell carcinoma in her right ear. It took six months to figure out what it was. She had 3 surgeries before the diagnosis. Only one month passed before I had to have my baby girl put to sleep. She purred until the end.

I have never had an animal in my life that I have loved so much. Who would have known. I wasn't even fond of cats when I first got her. But, oh my, what a gift from God cats are and especially Callie.
